LANFarms Features Among The Top eCommerce Startups in Nigeria

Last Updated on April 2, 2022 by LANFarms Research

Hi everyone – this is Uchechukwu (LANFarms CEO) with an exciting community update 🙂

Whoever said “It’s not about the destination. It’s the journey” never flew on a long-haul flight. Those flights can be painful, tiresome, jet-lagging, and not to mention absolutely boring despite whatever Disney movie is playing above you on the TV screen.

This is the thing, the vast majority of people want to start their own business, according to a Gallup poll. The distance between thought and action, however, can be vast: The sad reality is that the majority of those people won’t start their own business.

If you are one of the few who are launching businesses, though, welcome to the adventure! The odds are not in your favor, but that’s why you’re doing it. If you decide to bridge that gap and take the plunge, you might be the kind of person who hears the following words and thinks, “Yes!”

For our one year in building LANFarms, we have been on a long-haul of figuring things out, building teams, systems, processes, culture, and most importantly – customers and sales pipeline. Honestly, when I and my cofounder decided to test the waters, I expected to feel defeated (not my first time as a founder), he was skeptical when certain things became off – it's normal.

But we have continued to build an agrocommerce marketplace that enables anyone in any region we have launched to be able to carry out buying and selling of agro-products. Honestly, it's been hard, but who said it'll be easy?

In this light, we all know how it feels to be a little company and then get an email telling you that your company has been featured in the media. Well, when we got the news, we were excited!

What is the news, why were we featured, and how, and what is our next trajectory?

Our Next Trajectory

First and foremost, we all at LANFarms say a big thank you to Startup Pill for recognizing our efforts, as this move has energized us to add more strength to do more great things in the subsequent years.

At LANFarms, we believe we must innovate or we'll be cut off from existence. So when people ask us what our next part of the lifecycle is going to be like, I tell them we have so many things in store. Yes, if you know me, my co-founder, and our awesome team, you'd know we are full of surprises.

Here is a little snippet of what to expect from us:

Better creative content:

This one is crucial. You see we just launched our Blog and we are excited to create super amazing content that concerns agriculture and the lifestyle around it. Pushing more creative content will enable us to work with researchers in various agriculture fields to enable our vast network of the audience to gain insights into real-time agriculture trends and practices.

Cheaper agro-products

Less pricing, more quality, and partnership with our agro vendors, and farmers. We are currently selling and encouraging agro vendors to sell their products at subsidized rates to enable buyers to buy more. You can see our newest region marketplace launch for Nigeria, where we make it easy and convenient for buyers and sellers of agro products.

Conclusion: Building a product is very hard. It's one of the most important decisions when you think if an idea is good to build or not. We won't be here without our vast users, followers on social media, team, advisers, and friends. The support network got us here. And we can only say thank you!
